Pierre-Luc VIMONT joined AXA Group Operations in March 2020 and has been managing a team of 20+ legal counsel, based in five countries and covering 13 jurisdictions in Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Americas. His scope covers all legal matters for these entities, including corporate secretary, M&A related matters, Intellectual Property, litigation and he oversees the legal negotiation of significant group contracts with vendors, especially on IT matters, benefitting to all AXA companies worldwide. His team is also accompanying AXA’s operational teams on strategic projects on emerging technologies, security and more recently green energy.

In addition to his legal role, Pierre-Luc is a Diversity & Inclusion sponsor for AXA Group Operations.

Prior to joining AXA, Pierre-Luc spent eight years at AVIVA, in Paris and in London, and was previously admitted to the Paris bar. He graduated from a Master II in Business Law and a Magistere in Business Law, Corporate Taxation and Accountability from the University of Aix-en-Provence in 2008. He was admitted to the bar in 2009.

Benoît Thirion heads the Public Law practice of Hoche Avocats. With 13 years of experience in law and strategy consulting, Benoît has developed a first-rate understanding of the strategic and legal issues of infrastructures and associated services (transport and mobility, energy, telecoms, environment services), with a particular focus on decarbonization and digitalization. Benoît currently advises public and private clients (operators, sponsors, lenders, investment funds, etc.) on all aspects of public law. He specialises in public contract law, public sector law, regulatory law and public competition law. Benoît has also been a teacher at Sciences Po Paris and University Paris Panthéon Assas. He collaborates with think tanks and university chairs, and regularly publishes articles and op/eds in the press.

General Counsel Operations & Sustainability at Nestlé- based in Switzerland (headquarters). With over 20 years of experience as a business lawyer in Nestlé in different countries, Esteban currently leads a global legal team dedicated to supporting the Group’s Corporate Operations (procurement, agriculture, manufacturing, supply chain, and sustainability). On sustainability, his team oversees the legal dimension of important ESG regulations and commitments made by Nestlé, such as those related to climate change, plastic packaging, water, and human rights.

ISABEL FERNANDES is the General Legal Counsel of Grupo Visabeira since august 2006, which, since April 2009, also includes Grupo Vista Alegre. The Portugal-based conglomerate, Grupo Visabeira, is active in diverse business sectors (telecommunications, energy, technology, industry, construction, real estate and tourism), with an international presence in 17 countries around four continents (Europe, Africa, Asia and America) and marketing its products and services in more than 133 nations, counting currently with 12.897 employees.
Graduated in Law from Coimbra’s University (Portugal), and being a registered Lawyer at the Portuguese Bar Association, Isabel Fernandes professional career is characterized by a diversity of performed functions, at the public and private sectors, as well as countries/jurisdictions where they have been developed over time.
Having initiated the professional career at the Studying and Planning Department of the Portuguese Ministry of Justice, particularly assisting the representation of the Ministry within OECD and European Commission in several legal matters (1993-1994), Isabel Fernandes was then invited to go to Macau as part of the Office for Legal Translation in charge of supporting the Governor within the territory transition process to China, where she stayed for two years (1994-1996). After such, Isabel Fernandes moved to Africa, specifically to Mozambique which is a country Visabeira’s General Legal Counsel knows particularly well, having taught Law degree at the country’s first private university before being actively part in the reform of its tax regime and advising some of the most iconic foreign investing projects in the country as an associate director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Mozambique (1996-2006). Also in Mozambique, Isabel Fernandes was correspondent of the "International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation" (IBFD) (2002-2006), having ensured support in legal and tax matters relevant to the Mozambican legal system, with continuous reporting of legislative changes, namely at the fiscal level and issuing opinions and other relevant information in the context of the functions assumed by the IBFD.
Isabel Fernandes currently leads a thirteen–person legal team in charge of ensuring in-depth support and advice on diverse and complex legal subjects taking an essential role within the management structure of the Portuguese multinational and multi-sector company Grupo Visabeira.
Isabel Fernandes has also assumed since March 2021 the Presidency of the Diversity & Inclusion Commission of the Federation of Portuguese speaking Lawyers (FALP), which main objective is to raise awareness of the issue of diversity and inclusion in the legal sector, promoting diversity and inclusive practices, contributing, by this way, to the training of the Portuguese-speaking lawyers for the defence of citizens in matters where violations of the law may exist on the basis of discrimination of race, sex, religion, etc. Portuguese speaking lawyers represent about 1.600.000 in the various jurisdictions distributed by four continents – Africa, Asia, Europe and America.
